Discover History’s Treasures

Putting history in your hand – BBC Civilisations and Magic Leap bring art and culture direct to you from across the world. It highlights the treasures of a diverse range of UK museums and galleries and allows people across the globe to discover these remarkable objects and explore them “out of the display case”.
Discover the secrets of ancient Egypt, reveal hidden stories concealed in these iconic artefacts and learn more about the origins of these cultural treasures and the people who made them.
This personal, virtual exhibition contains 16 historic artefacts, which have been digitally scanned and are now available to view in 3D.

The collection includes an ancient Egyptian mummy from the Torquay Museum, Rodin’s ‘The Kiss’ from the National Museum of Wales, iconic sculptures from Henry Moore and Barbara Hepworth and a masterpiece by JMW Turner from Gallery Oldham.
This free Magic Leap App forms part of a major collaboration between the BBC, Nexus Studios and more than 30 museums from across the UK, to mark the landmark arts and culture series, Civilisations.
Please treat these cultural treasures with respect when enjoying and sharing this Magic Leap experience.
